UCLA Anderson MBA Application Requirements
Prepare a comprehensive application to showcase your academic ability, leadership potential, and fit with UCLA Anderson’s collaborative culture. All materials must be submitted via the UCLA Anderson online portal by the relevant round deadline.

• GMAT / GRE / Executive Assessment (EA):
  Submit a valid GMAT, GRE, GMAT Focus, or Executive Assessment (EA) score. Alternatively, applicants may opt out of submitting a test score and instead share examples of coursework, certifications, or professional experience demonstrating quantitative and analytical abilities in a brief essay.
• Essays:
  Essays complement your application by highlighting how an MBA fits into your career goals and journey. Strong essays are introspective, genuine, succinct, and showcase a clear vision for your future and your intended impact on the Anderson community.
  Required short essay prompts for the 2025-2026 application year (first-time applicants):
  • Why is the MBA the right degree for you to pursue both personally and professionally? (150 words)
  • Describe your post-MBA short-term and long-term career goals. (150 words)
  • What makes UCLA Anderson a top choice for you, and how will you engage with and contribute to the community? (250 words)
  Optional essay:
  • Are there any extenuating circumstances in your profile about which the Admissions Committee should be aware? (250 words maximum)
  No preference is given to applicants who choose to respond to the optional essay.
• Recommendation Letters:
  Submit two professional letters of recommendation, preferably from current or former supervisors who can evaluate your leadership, teamwork, and professional growth.
• Interview:
  Interviews are by invitation only and conducted by admissions staff or alumni. They assess interpersonal skills, motivation for an MBA, leadership potential, and cultural fit. Interviews can be virtual or in-person.
• Other Documents:
  • Online application form with personal information, employment history, education, and extracurricular activities
  • One-page professional resume detailing work experience and achievements
